PicLits is a a fun website that will help you increase your vocabulary and practice your writing skills at the same time.

Go to
PicLits and choose an image to write about. Each image has vocabulary lists to give you ideas.
- Write as much as you can about the picture. What happened before the picture was taken? What is happening now? What will happen next? How does the picture make you feel? Does the picture remind you of anything or anyone?
- You can write your composition in Microsoft Word or on notebook paper. Please write your composition double spaced, and include your name and a title.
- Use an online dictionary like WordReference or your own dictionary to look up words you don't know.
- Use description and detail!
You can also create picture compositions by dragging vocabulary words onto the picture. You will need to create an account if you want to share these picture compositions on Facebook or through e-mail.
